"A month before my 25th birthday, I was diagnosed with type I diabetes. Sentenced to way too much time in dreary waiting rooms, surrounded by monotonous medical equipment. I was compelled to find a way to make living with diabetes a brighter experience. So I grabbed a pen and a piece of scratch paper and sketched the 'Love Bug,' my first Myabetic inspiration. The colorful, comforting creature would be a friend to anyone adjusting to life with diabetes."
